CAREER DETAIL:
Before founding Longevity Financial Consulting, Barry spent ten years as a Director at Brandes Investment Partners L.P., an independent investment manager in California. He developed and led the Brandes Institute, the firms’ “thought leadership” division and also served as the firm’s Director of Portfolio Strategies. Barry remains affiliated with Brandes as the Research Director of the Brandes Institute Advisory Board.
Previously, Barry had spent twelve years as CEO of Prudential Capital Management International, a global investment management unit of Prudential Financial, and before that had marketing and international portfolio management roles at Citibank. He has also worked as an international securities analyst at a Wall Street firm, and has been a consultant to pension funds, banks, insurance companies and investment managers on marketing, business and product issues. Barry started his investment and actuarial career at a London-based insurance company.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Barry is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA), and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA). He holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from Cambridge University in England.
